Maid salary calculator
This month’s pay for your maid, cook or driver, with absences, half days and the paid leave you allow. No sign-up, and nothing you type here leaves your browser.
Home Ledger remembers the dates, the advances and the leave, works out the pay to the rupee and sends your helper the statement on WhatsApp.

The same sums Home Ledger does every month
- One day’s pay is the monthly salary divided by 30, by the days in the month, or by the working days. Homes really do differ, so pick the one you use.
- Paid leave covers the first absences. With 2 days of paid leave and 3 absences, one day is cut. A half day uses half a day of leave.
- The weekly off is paid. With “Sunday off”, Sundays are not absences and are never cut.
- Joined mid-month? The first month pays for the days from joining (days employed ÷ days in the month), and the paid leave is shared out the same way.
- Each line is rounded to the nearest rupee, so the total adds up as shown.
Questions
Asked often
Should I divide by 30 or by 31?
Either is fair if you are consistent. Dividing by 30 makes every day worth the same all year; dividing by the days in the month makes a day in February worth a little more than a day in March. Many homes simply use 30.
Do I cut pay for the weekly off?
No. The weekly off is part of the job and paid. Choose “6 days, Sunday off” and only working days count as absences.
What about a holiday I gave, or an extra day they came?
The calculator keeps to absences and half days. In Home Ledger you can mark a paid holiday (not cut, and it doesn’t use up leave) and an extra day on a day off (paid on top).
Does this calculator keep what I type?
No. The sums run in your browser; nothing is sent or saved.
